How to Run Opera Portably in Ubuntu

Hello all. In this write-up, I'll illustrate how to run Opera in portable mode on Ubuntu.
I used to have a portable version of Opera on my Windows PC. When I started using Ubuntu, I wanted one on ubuntu as well.

I learnt that for this, I have to download tar.bz2 package from Opera's site. This is a prebuilt Portable Opera package and hence, you just have to extract and run it.
I did same and was running Opera successfully, and after that I close Opera and copied it in other partition, as I always keep my things in separate partitions. But, next time, when I tried to run Opera, it doesn't. I tried many different things, like deleting profile, copying Opera to home folder, rextracting Opera tarball in partition and all, but it all fails. But after a few more fiddling, I got it work and know that how to get it to work always. I am telling these as below steps:

1. download appropriate version of tarball from Opera's site.
2. Extract it in your 'Home' folder. This is important, as if you will extract it elsewhere, 'Opera' won't run, as scripts are not allowed to run from somewhere else. Even if you'll extract opera somewhere else and then will copy it in 'home' folder, it won't work. [This is the mistake, I was doing]. So, you have to extract in 'home' folder directly.
3. Now open file named 'opera' and choose 'Run'.
4. Now, you will see a Licese agreement, which you have to accept it.
5. After accepting, you will see Opera running and it will create a profile.
6. You can customize, or import your data into profile.
7. If you already have an opera profile and you want to use it, then just, copy that profile folder in extracted Opera's folder, before step 3. In this way, it won't make a new profile, but will run from the provided one.
8. Now, if you ever want to migrtae, upgrade or use opera elsewhere, just copy and carry your 'profile' folder. Remeber to protect your 'profile' folder as all of your settings, data, mails, contacts, notes, passwords etc. reside there only.

P.S.: This is my original write-up and not a copied one. So, I'll request one to not copy, but link to this page, if they want to share :-)
